Dr. Liliana Mayo, founder
and executive director of the Centro Ann Sullivan del Peru (CASP), was honored with
the Prima Senior Citizens Award in the Social Service category, for her outstanding
professional career with over 30 years dedicated to the education and inclusion
of people with different abilities and their families.
The award was given at
the VIII Prima AFP Senior Citizens Award Gala Ceremony that took place on
Wednesday 8th October 2014 at Delfines Hotel in San Isidro. It is noteworthy
that 1032 participants have been nominated for this Award in its eight editions,
thus recognizing citizen seniors for their initiative and lifetime
achievements, since they serve as role models for present and future
generations.
Francisco Contreras,
Lucia Irurita Siverio, Benita Cutipa Chura, Pedro Angulo Pinto, Luis Lumbreras
Salcedo, Teodoro Ortiz Tocre, Alicia Maguiña Málaga and Luis Bedoya Reyes were
also awarded. Just as Dr. Mayo, they received the Gold or Silver Colibri in
different categories.
