Are we preparing people with Autism for life?

The XIX International Conference: “Are we preparing people with Autism for life?” which was led by Dr. Liliana Mayo, General Director and Founder of the Centro Ann Sullivan del Peru, took place on Saturday, April 2, 2011.

The event was broadcast live over the Internet from Kansas City through the Elluminate Live system, and it had a great attendance in each city connected to the conference. As a result, more than 1130 persons were trained in Peru and other countries.

21 cities in 14 departments of Peru took part in this event: Andahuaylas, Arequipa, Huamanga, Cajamarca, Caraz, Cerro de Pasco, Chiclayo, Chimbote, Cusco, Huánuco, Huaral, Ilo, Iquitos, Máncora, Moquegua, Paramonga, Sicuani, Sullana, Tacna and Lima (San Juan de Miraflores, San Miguel); and also 9 cities in other countries: Argentina (La Plata, Quilmes, Mar del Plata), Chile (Concepción), Colombia (Cartagena), Ecuador (El Fortín, Manta, Quito), México (Hidalgo, Lagunas, San Luis de Potosí), Guatemala, Panamá (Chiriqui), Spain (Barcelona) and the United States of America (Madison- Wisconsin).

We also gave a special welcome to the first time cities such as Ayacucho (Ayacucho), Chimbote (Ancash), Mar del Plata (Argentina), Concepción (Chile) and Cartagena (Colombia) that took part in this conference.
